Aqeeqah ceremony

Rasool Akram  ( صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ) said, Save the child with his Mortgage. On this side the seventh day, you must sacrifice the animal. Name the baby and shave the head. You ( صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ) said that you should sacrifice two goats towards the boy and one goat towards the girl.

The Importance of Aghaqa in Islam:-

Aqeeqah ceremony is the Islamic tradition of the sacrifice of an animal of a child's birth. It is extensively, performed by Muslims and it is appraised, sunnah to slaughter a sheep for the baby and deliver the meat to the poor. Muslims also prepare a feast for family and friends in celebration of being blessed with a child. Aqeeqah ceremony is a sunnah al mu'akkadah (confirmed sunnah). If the custodian, of the child is competent, of slaughter, a sheep for the child, they should do it. Muhammad ( صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ) said: “A baby is being mortgage for his aqeeqah ceremony, sacrifice is made for him on the seventh day, his head is shaved, and a name is given him". If one cannot slaughter on the seventh day, someone may slaughter on the fourteenth/ twenty-first day. If one is not capable of doing so, then a person may slaughter any time before the puberty of the child. The aqeeqah is sunnah and mustahabb; it is not compulsory at all, so there is no offense, on the one who does it, or the one who delays it and does not do it at the time that is mustahabb, while, he mishear, out on the morality and reward of that. (He may postpone it) until he is able to do it, or he may take it out[1][2] Ja'far al-Sadiq, a great-grandchild of Muhammad and distinguished, scholar in his era, declare that ideally the shaving, slaughtering for aqeeqah, and naming of the child should be done within one hour.[3]

Benefits:-

Aqeeqah is a type of sadaqah and it is too sunnah.[6] According to a further hadith from Ja'far al-Sadiq, every born is in hostage of aqeeqah; namely, it would be windswept to death/kinds of catastrophe if they don't do aqeeqah for the child.[7] It is Sunnah for the parents to eat from the meat of aqeeqah[3].

Narrated Abu Musa: A son was born to me and I took him to the Prophet who named him Ibrahim, did Tahnik for him with a date, invoked Allah to bless him and returned him to me. (The narrator added: That was Abu Musa's eldest son.) ..
